TRADING

We are physical traders; We buy, transport, store, blend and deliver oil internationally, primarily trading in crude oil and its full array of related products. Our Clients are international traders and end users including but not limited to Vitol, Itochu, Litasco, Traffigura, Reliance, Gunvor, Noble Clean Fuels Ltd, etc. We have entered the oil trading market in the Middle East in 2009 and have since expanded our reach, trading in Libya, Turkey, West Africa, Middle East, Asia, etc. We have traded an approximate volume of 55 Million barrels of Crude Oil.

Our team trades both sour and sweet grades of crude on term and spot contracts with a focus on established markets in regions including the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea and the Far East. They are sourced against term supply contracts or on spot basis, and offered to refineries or major trading houses against tenders or on direct sales.

Primestar Energy’s global network of middle distillates comprises of a wide range of products, most prominently Jet, Kerosene, Diesel and heating oil. Our operations in these products are global and we use our well versed logistics for optimizing timely deliveries to fulfill our customer requirements. Our trading in Gasoil and Jet reached a volume of more than 2 mill metric tons of gasoil and jet oil around the globe.

We have commenced trading of LPG, with frequent experience trading of small parcels of 5,000 – 10,000 MT per shipment. We are now looking to trade with strategic suppliers in Middle East, North Africa and West Africa, etc and buyers in India, China, Bangladesh and Pakistan for a quantity upto 44,000 MT (VLGCs) per shipment

We have developed a LNG trading desk with a dedicated team of experienced professionals and have entered into a number of MSPA’s with leading international and national LNG producers and suppliers.

Our coal trading business commenced in 2011, spearheaded by a team of experienced personnel owning strong local expertise and well-developed relationships across the coal value chain from the ground up to the end buyer. Given our strategic relationship, we source our coal directly from a selected number of largest and most well-established coal producers from USA, Indonesia and South Africa. We serve coal users in Asia especially with China, Thailand, Hong Kong and India, operating across various industries. Our excellent reliability and service quality has enabled us to establish a strong customer base. We operate on FOB as well as CFR basis. We are able to supply quality Thermal, Steam Coal and RB3 at either FOB or CIF terms. We have traded an approximate volume of 5 mill Metric ton of coal with a turn over about USD 350 mill. Our main sources of origin for coal are: USA, Indonesia and South Africa. Our Most prolific Exports are from USA followed by Indonesia and South Africa. We deal with coals mainly Thermal and Steam Coals (Non-coking) originating from United States, Steam Coal from Indonesia and RB3 from South Africa.

We have commenced trading of Steel in 2019, specializing in the trading of Steel Billets and Steel Blooms. We have a team of comprising Steel Industry experts and professionals who are already trading a monthly volume of 70,000 – 80,000 MT per month. Our goal is to trade a volume of 100,000 MT of Steel Billets per month. We procure Steel from CIS, Turkey, India, and Saudi Arabia and our markets are China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and UAE.

We are also engaged in the trading of Fertilizers viz. Urea, Di-Ammonia Phosphate (DAP), Phosphoric Acid, Rock Phosphate, NPK, etc, sourcing from North Africa, Middle East, etc. Our customers are in Pakistan, India and other Asian Countries. We are sourcing a volume of 50,000 – 70,000 MT of Fertilizers from different sources in North Afica, Middle East, etc.

We have added Agro commodities to our trading portfolio in year 2011. Agro Commodities is traded based on the opportunities available. Our Agro Commodities business is mainly with countries such as Brazil, China, Thailand, Portugal, Spain, Italy, SriLanka, UAE, Canada, India, Vietnam, etc.
